After a sea voyage that could have lasted six weeks or more, with little food or water to reduce manure they either were wrecked or abandoned on this island.after logging operations turned to tractors. the logging horses were imported from Cuba where Columbus had two horse farms. Horses in Cuba today in no way resemble the Barbs as they have been bred for color rather than Barb traits.
